The recent meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sepp Blatter, the former president of the FIFA, was a private one, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday, adding that the Kremlin was unable to reveal any details of the meeting.
"It was a private meeting, we cannot disclose any details," Peskov told reporters, when asked about the issues discussed during Putin's meeting with Blatter.
Blatter, who led FIFA for 17 years, was removed from office and banned from football activities amid the FIFA corruption row in 2015.
According to media reports, on Wednesday, Blatter visited one of the matches of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Moscow.
In October, Blatter said he had been invited to visit the tournament by Putin.
