Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that his schedule included a meeting with the Russian national football team.
"Yes, we'll meet. We've already scheduled such meetings, first, we'll meet with the coach, with the captain... Then we'll meet with the team," Putin told journalists after the 2018 World Cup final match.
France secured their second title after beating Croatia 4-2 in the World Cup final at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday. Hosts Russia qualified for the quarter-finals, but were eliminated as they lost to Croatia on penalties.
