Putin is traveling to Belarus on Tuesday to take part in the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus and to hold talks with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

"Tomorrow he will be in Minsk and most likely will not be able to watch the game live. He will definitely take interest in the match and will probably watch the game highlights in the news. But I would like to repeat, tomorrow will be a very busy day in Minsk," Peskov told journalists.

Russia will take on Egypt at the 64,000-seater St. Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday after thrashing Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the World Cup opening match in Moscow on Thursday.
