MOSCOW, June 13 (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday told his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame that he welcomed the opportunity to discuss the bilateral relations and expressed hope that Kagame would enjoy his time in Moscow.
"I am really glad that we have an opportunity to talk about the development of our relations. I hope you will have a lot of interesting and pleasant things to do in Moscow during the FIFA World Cup," Putin said.
Kagame noted that Rwanda was hoping to further improve ties with Russia and mentioned the recent visit of the Russian delegation to Rwanda, stressing that his country was glad to use this opportunity to further boost relations.
Kagame thanked Russia for its support in the development of various sectors of the economy.
