Portugal midfielder Ricardo Quaresma was named the man of the match as his side drew 1-1 with Iran and qualified for the round of 16 as Group B runners-up, FIFA said via the tournament's official Twitter account on Monday.
Quaresma opened the scoring right before the half time break, firing a stunning strike into the top-left corner from outside the penalty area.
Portugal will now face Group A winners Uruguay, who beat Russia 3-0, in Sochi on Saturday in their round of 16 match.
