Aeroexpress, the operator of rail link services to Moscow's three international airports, has finished its preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup set to kick off in the Russian capital on 14 June, the company said on Friday.
"The infrastructure and the Aeroexpress rolling stock are perfectly ready to welcome the guests of the 2018 FIFA World Cup," the company said in a statement published on its official website.
"The Aeroexpress terminals have received special FIFA-style navigation signs, indicating the way to the separate ticket gates for fans and persons entitled to free travel," it added.
The company said that additional ticket offices were available in the terminals, while all employees had been trained to work with an increased flow of passengers.
About 1.2 million passengers are expected to use their services during the tournament and additional screening equipment has been installed in order to ensure their safety.
Earlier, Aeroexpress announced that trains to and from the airports would be running until 3am local time on the busiest days during the tournament.
The trains connect Moscow's Belorussky, Paveletsky and Kiyevsky railway stations with Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo international airports respectively.
Moscow's Luzhniky and Spartak stadiums will host a total of 12 World Cup matches, including eight group-stage games, two round of 16 matches, a semi-final and the final.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place in Russia between 14 June and 15 July.
