Rashford suffered the injury on Monday during the squad's final training before heading for Russia. The team earlier said via their official Twitter account that the injury "isn't thought to be serious."

The English national team arrived at their base in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, where they will be staying before leaving for Volgograd for a match against Tunisia on 18 June. They will later face Panama and Belgium who are also in Group G.

The FIFA World Cup got underway earlier on Thursday and will continue through 15 July, with a total of 64 matches set to be played at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
