Cristiano Ronaldo moved level with former Hungary legend Ferenc Puskas as Europe’s all-time leading scorer in national team competitions, as his hat-trick helped earn Portugal a 3-3 draw against Spain in Sochi.
Ronaldo, who also became only the fourth player in history to score at four World Cups, took his tally to 84 goals in 151 matches for Portugal. Puskas scored the same amount of goals in just 89 games.
The 2016 European champions Portugal will play Morocco in Moscow on 20 June, before taking on Iran in Saransk on 25 June.
