Cristiano Ronaldo's Sublime Hat-Trick Helped Portugal to Earn 3-3 Draw With Spain in Teams' First Match at the 2018 World Cup in Russia on Friday.
Portugal captain Ronaldo scored the opening goal after four minutes as he converted a penalty. Diego Costa leveled the score in the 25th minute with an excellent right-footed finish.
However, Ronaldo scored his second just before half time, but his shot on goal should have been saved by Spain goalkeeper David De Gea.
Costa equalized again in the 55th minute and three minutes later defender Nacho hit a stunning right-footed strike from distance to give Spain the lead.
Ronaldo completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute as he curled a sublime free-kick over the wall to earn his side a deserved draw.
The match took place at the 44,000-seater Fisht Stadium in Sochi.
