Russia goalkeeper Vladimir Gabulov said on Wednesday that the team did not agree with claims that they had "overfulfilled" their task at the World Cup.
Russia reached their first World Cup quarter-finals following Monday's penalty shootout win over Spain after failing to qualify from the group in their previous three attempts.
"The atmosphere is positive, it feels easier to train now. We don't agree with claims that we overfulfilled our task. The team doesn't agree," Gabulov told journalists.
Russia will next face Croatia in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Sunday.
