"I think the game is going to be very difficult and intense. We are playing against a team that has nothing to lose. Their encounter with Uruguay showed that they are very good in quick offensive play. Our players should be ready for this. It's important to quickly switch to other actions after losing the ball," Byshovets said.

He added that Russia should pay extra attention to Egypt striker Mohamed Salah.

"He is an outstanding player. I hope we will manage to deal with him and all their forward line. I think Egypt's coaches made a mistake when left him out of Uruguay game. They should have used him, because he is important for the team as a leader, as a symbol that helps reach results," Byshovets said.

Russia, who thrashed Saudi Arabia in their first World Cup match, will take on Egypt at the 64,000-seater St. Petersburg Stadium later on Tuesday.

Egypt lost 1-0 to Uruguay in their first World Cup match.
