Russia head coach Stanislav Cherchesov and the NHL's Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin have been invited to attend the 2018 World Cup final, the FIFA press service said on Sunday.
The World Cup final between Croatia and France will be played at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium at 18:00 Moscow time on Sunday.
International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, a number of former football stars, including Luis Figo, Paolo Maldini, Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and Laurent Blanc, are also expected to attend the match.
On Saturday, the Kremlin's press service said that Russian President Vladimir Putin would attend the tournament's final.
