NEUSTIFT IM STUBAITAL (Austria), May 27 (Sputnik) - Russia midfielder Aleksandr Yerokhin missed Russia’s latest training session at their pre-World Cup training camp in Austria, the team said on Sunday.
The 28-year-old, who has made 17 appearances for Russia since his senior debut in 2016, has had an individual session in the gym after he suffered a minor foot injury, the Russian team’s Twitter feed stated.
Head coach Stanislav Cherchesov’s preliminary 28-man squad are currently training in the Austrian town of Neustift ahead of their final pre-World Cup friendlies against Austria in Innsbruck on May 30 and against Turkey in Moscow on June 5.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
