Russia will face Spain in their round of 16 match at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday. The hosts, who booked a spot in the round of 16 after winning their first two World Cup games, were defeated by Uruguay 3-0 in their final Group A match on Monday.

"All the footballers play well, and even despite the defeat by Uruguay, I believe that each of them can play their best match [against Spain]," Anokhin said.

He added that the team could use a little bit of luck in the game as Spain were a very tough opponent and it was hard to name any of their weaknesses.

"Spain are a very strong team, they are one of the tournament's favorites. They have high-class players, who are well-prepared physically and technically. Therefore, it is important for our coaching staff to come up with something special for this game. They need to use physical readiness and total dedication in this battle," Anokhin said.
