Russia midfielder Aleksandr Samedov has resumed training with the squad while defender Yuri Zhirkov is training individually, the Russian team said on Wednesday.
Zhirkov was substituted at half time as his side beat Spain 4-3 on penalties to reach their first-ever World Cup quarter-finals on Monday. Scans later confirmed that he has a calf muscle tendon inflammation that could rule him out of the national team's World Cup campaign.
Samedov trained individually on Tuesday "after undergoing a check-up of his fitness shape."
"Aleksandr Samedov comes back to the squad. Yuri Zhirkov started training individually. Alan Dzagoev will miss the training as he has myofascial back muscles syndrome," the team said on their Twitter account.
Stanislav Cherchesov's side will face Croatia in the quarter-finals in Sochi on Sunday.
