The World Cup viewership has not shrunk in Russia after its national team bowed out of the tournament, as 69% of Russians keep watching the matches on TV.
The host nation lost to Croatia 4-3 on penalties on Sunday morning after their quarter-final match finished 2-2 following extra time.
"Our fellow citizens did not lose their interest in the World Cup - 69% of the respondents said they watched the matches," said the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) in a statement.
According to the poll conducted ahead of the Russia v Croatia match, 66% followed the World Cup games on TV.
The phone survey was conducted among 1,600 respondents aged 18 or older on Sunday.
