MOSCOW, June 13 (Sputnik) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, who is in charge of culture, sports and tourism in the country's government, said on Wednesday that she planned to attend all the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches featuring Russia.
“Of course. We’ll be all rooting for Russia,” Golodets told journalists when asked if she would attend the World Cup opening match between hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
She also said she would “surely” attend all the games featuring the Russian national football team.
Russia will host its first-ever World Cup from June 14 to July 15 at 12 arenas in 11 cities across the country, with the host nation set to face Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Uruguay in Group A.
