Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev visited the Russian city of Kaliningrad, which will host a total of four World Cup matches this summer, where he inspected the police operational center, the ministry said on Friday.
"The minister and heads of regional authorities visited the Oktyabrsky Island where the Kaliningrad Stadium, which will host four group-stage matches of the World Cup, is located, and checked the work of the operational center," the ministry said in a statement published on its official website.
The minister also held a meeting with the head of Kaliningrad police.
The 35,000-seater Kaliningrad Stadium will see England play Belgium on 28 June.
