The Russian national football team has departed for Sochi, where they will play Croatia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Earlier on Thursday, Stanislav Cherchesov's side held a training session at their World Cup base in the town of Novogorsk, just outside Moscow.
The host nation beat 2010 World Cup winners Spain on penalties on Monday to book a spot in the last eight for the first time and will take on Croatia on Sunday morning.
