GROZNY, May 30 (Sputnik) - About 8,000 free tickets will be given to football fans who want to watch the Egyptian national team's open training session at the Akhmat-Arena in the Russian city of Grozny ahead of this summer's FIFA World Cup, the stadium's representative told Sputnik Wednesday.
Egypt’s team will be based in Grozny during the upcoming FIFA World Cup and will be training at the reconstructed Akhmat-Arena.
"The Egyptian national team will arrive in Grozny on June 10 and will have an open training the same evening at the Akhmat-Arena. The tickets will be available for free at the stadium's ticket offices for everyone who would like to watch the training session," the stadium's representative said.
He added that the number of tickets was limited to 8,000 by the Local Organizing Committee while the stadium has a capacity of more than 30,000 spectators.
The Egyptian squad will be staying at the new five-star hotel The Local, which was purpose-built for the team and is located only 500 meters (1,640 feet) away from the Akhmat-Arena.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 arenas in 11 cities across the country. Egypt will play Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay in Group A.
