Russia defender Ilya Kutepov and midfielder Roman Zobnin underwent doping control tests after their final Group A match against Uruguay, the Russian Football Union’s press service said on Monday.
Russia suffered their first defeat at the tournament losing to the Uruguay 3-0 earlier on Monday. They drop to the second place in their group meaning they will face the winner of Group B in their round of 16 match.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on 14 June and will continue until 15 July, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
