MOSCOW, May 26 (Sputnik) - Russia's preliminary FIFA World Cup squad, who are currently training in Austria, have undergone doping control tests following their afternoon training session, the team announced on Twitter on Saturday.
"The doping control tests are done. It took us about an hour and a half," the team said, adding that the players were undergoing tests in a "friendly environment".
FIFA doping control officers took samples from all 28 players in the squad, who are training at the camp in the Austrian town of Neustift ahead of their final warm-up friendlies against Austria on May 30 and against Turkey on June 5.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
