Australia goalkeeper Mathew Ryan said Monday that he was satisfied with the team's base camp for the FIFA World Cup in the Russian city of Kazan.
Australia will train during the tournament at the base of local ice hockey club Ak Bars, who are the reigning Kontinental Hockey League champions.
"We got off the plane yesterday. The facility is really nice, it's very suitable for what we are trying to achieve here. We know that a successful hockey team trains here. Everything is really good here", Ryan told journalists.
Australia, who have qualified for their fourth straight World Cup, will face 1998 champions France at the 45,000-seater Kazan Arena on Saturday. The Socceroos will also play Denmark and Peru in their Group C.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 arenas in 11 cities across the country.
