Egypt striker Mohamed Salah will start his side’s World Cup Group A game with Russia on Tuesday, the Egyptian national team said via its official Twitter feed.
The player did not take part in Egypt's 1-0 defeat to Uruguay on Friday, spending the whole game on the bench due to the shoulder injury he sustained in late May.
However, he trained with the rest of the squad ahead of the match against hosts Russia on Monday.
Russia, who thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-0 on June 14, will take on Egypt at the St. Petersburg Stadium at 21:00 Moscow time.
Egypt's starting XI for the match:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shenawy;
Defenders: Ahmed Fathy, Aly Gabr, Ahmed Hegazy, Mohamed Abdelhafy;
Midfielder: Mohamed Elneny, Tarek Hamed, Abdallah El-Said, Mahmoud Hassan;
Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Marwan Mohsen.
