Russia midfielder Aleksandr Samedov trained individually on Tuesday as the team began their preparations for the World Cup quarter-final against Croatia.
"Aleksandr Samedov trains according to an individual program today after undergoing a check-up of his fitness shape," the Russian team said via their official Twitter account.
The 33-year-old Spartak Moscow player started for Russia in their penalty shootout win over Spain in the last 16 on Sunday, but was substituted on the hour mark.
Stanislav Cherchesov's side will face Croatia in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Sunday morning (AEST).
