Argentina head coach Jorge Sampaoli was full of praise for his side’s next opponents Croatia, who he called an “amazing, young and strong” team on Wednesday.
"I can't tell you about my starting lineup [for the match against Croatia], as I haven't made my final decision yet. We are only thinking about winning. World Cup matches can be difficult even if you are favorites, any game is tough here. Croatia are an amazing team, they're young, strong and motivated. We'll see how we'll play, but the attitude will be the same that we had when we played Iceland. We will play to our strengths," Sampaoli told journalists.
Argentina, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Iceland, will face Croatia, who started their World Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Nigeria, in Nizhny Novgorod on Thursday.
