The two-time tournament winners need to beat Nigeria in their final Group D match in St. Petersburg on Tuesday to keep alive their hopes of reaching the knockout stage.

"Tomorrow's match will be vital [for Argentina]. Both teams can advance [to the knockout stage]. They will try to do everything to advance. The defeat to Croatia was painful. but a few days have passed by. I have taken responsibility for that loss. From the very next day I have started to think about a victory over Nigeria. I am concentrated only on the next game," Sampaoli told journalists.
