Portugal and Spain players put on a show during their World Cup encounter, Portugal head coach Fernando Santos said on Friday.
Spain and Portugal played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in teams' first 2018 FIFA World Cup match that was held at Sochi's Fisht Stadium on Friday. Ronaldo rescued a point for Portugal as he completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute with a sublime free kick.
"It was a very emotional match... You could say the result is fair, even though we took the lead twice... After 15 minutes [we] started losing territory and they [Spain] were finding things much easier. The result isn't completely satisfying but the show was entertaining," Santos told journalists at the post-match press conference.
Portugal and Spain were both drawn in Group B alongside Morocco and Iran.
