Senegal, who have been drawn in Group H, will play their first 2018 World Cup match against Poland at Moscow's Spartak Stadium on Tuesday.

"We've worked very hard in the recent weeks, the last two weeks were particularly intense... We are fully prepared to play against Poland. It's one of our dreams, the dream that we had when we were kids, so we need to enjoy and give this joy as well to the Senegalese people," Kouyate told journalists.

The 28-year-old added that defeats suffered by other African teams, who have already played their first matches at the tournament, doesn't put any extra pressure on the team.

Neither Egypt, Morocco or Nigeria scored a single goal in their opening defeats.

"African teams have lost their opening matches, but it doesn't put pressure on us. Tomorrow is going to be the most important game for us as it's gonna be our first final," Kouyate said.
