FC Krasnodar and Russia forward Fedor Smolov said on Friday that his club's academy, where Spain will be based during the World Cup, is the best team base camp in the country.
“It’s a great base. I think the best one in Russia,” Smolov told journalists.
Julien Lopetegui's Spanish squad arrived in Krasnodar, around 740 miles south of Moscow, on Thursday.
Krasnodar will not host matches during the tournament, but it is situated close to the Black Sea resort of Sochi, where the 2010 World Cup winners will face reigning European champions Portugal in their first Group B match on 15 June.
The other two teams drawn in Group B are Morocco and Iran.
