The Russian national team can't for the World Cup to get underway, according to striker Fedor Smolov.
Hosts Russia will take on Saudi Arabia at Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Stadium in the opening match of the tournament on 14 June.
"Just a few more days to go before the match. Everyone can't wait for it to begin," Smolov told journalists.
"I don't feel the pressure yet but I think I'll get somewhat nervous before the Saudi Arabia match. I hope my experience at the European championship and the Confederations Cup will help me cope with that," he said.
Smolov was the Russian Premier League’s top goalscorer in 2016 and 2017 and has been capped 32 times for Russia, scoring 12 international goals since his senior debut in 2012.
Russia will also play Egypt and Uruguay in Group A at the World Cup.
