Sweden head coach Janne Andersson said after his team's victory over Switzerland that he could live with being considered the national team’s symbol.
Sweden defeated Switzerland 1-0 in their round of 16 game in St. Petersburg, and advance to the last eight.
"It’s an unbelievable feeling, hearing the fans chant your name. If I am a symbol, I can live with it. But first of all this is the team’s success, football is a team sport. We work for each other, and I am absolutely happy with the result," the coach told reporters at the post-match press conference, adding that the most important thing for Sweden now is their upcoming quarter-final.
The game will be held on Saturday in Samara, with Sweden facing either Colombia or England.
