MOSCOW, June 12 (Sputnik) - The Swedish national team has arrived in Russia ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on Thursday, the official tourist website for the FIFA World Cup said on Tuesday via Twitter.
"We are glad to welcome the Swedish team in Russia!" the website said.
The team will be based in the Black Sea resort of Gelendzhik in southern Russia during the World Cup.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15, with the games set to take place in 11 cities across the country.
Sweden, who have qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 2006, will play defending champions Germany, Mexico and South Korea in Group F.
