MOSCOW, June 11 (Sputnik) - The Swiss national football team has arrived in the Russian city of Samara, around 540 miles southeast of Moscow, ahead of the FIFA World Cup, FIFA correspondent Alan Schweingruber said on Twitter Monday.
The team will be based in the city of Tolyatti in the Samara Region and will train at the Torpedo stadium during the tournament.
Switzerland were drawn in Group E and will face five-time champions Brazil in Rostov-on-Don on June 17, Serbia in Kaliningrad on June 22 and Costa Rica in Nizhny Novgorod on June 27.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will kick off on Thursday.
