Sydney FC looked to extend their unbeaten run in this A-League season with a Friday night match against strugglers Adelaide United.

Rhyan Grant's controversial tackle and a questionable offside call on Holosko headlined a lacklustre first half.

Coach Graham Arnold's men struggled to create chances in the final third, while Adelaide failed to display much of an attacking threat.

The match finally opened up in the second half, with a goal from Alex Brosque in the 58th minute. From there on, the Sky Blues took complete control of the game, increasing their lead to 2-0 through a Ninkovic goal only two minutes later.

Sydney had a few more chances in the closing stages of the match, but failed to convert. It wasn't an enthralling game of football, but it was an important win for the home team who have set a new A-League record by notching up 40 points in the first 16 rounds. Meanwhile another game for coach Guillermo Amor's Adelaide to reflect on.

But how did the fans react to the important, controversial and impressive moments of the game?
