Uruguay head coach Oscar Tabarez said on Saturday that Portugal were not easy opponents in the Round of 16 match of the 2018 World Cup.
Uruguay defeated Portugal 2-1 in Sochi on Saturday and will face France in the quarter-finals on Friday while Portugal have been eliminated from the tournament.
"Some people were saying that we have qualified from not the most difficult group. But I doubt that anyone would call Portugal easy opponents," Tabarez told journalists.
Uruguay won their Group A after beating Egypt and Saudi Arabia 1-0 and defeating hosts Russia 3-0.
