A Festival of the Tatar cuisine will be held in Warsaw from June 22 to June 24 ahead of Poland's game in the capital of Russia's Republic of Tatarstan, the Head of the Russian center Igor Zhukovsky has said.
"We will hold a true gastronomy feast in collaboration with Kazan Department of Tourism. In order to show the beauty of the diverse Tatar national cuisine Chef Rustam Rakhimov, the winner of numerous international culinary competitions, is coming to Warsaw," Zhukovsky said.
He added that during the two-day festival the guests will be able to taste such delicious Tatar dishes as Tatar Azu (a dish of thinly cut meat with a hot sauce), belyash (round open-faced patty with meat filling), ochpochmaq (triangular pastry, filled with minced beef, onion and potatoes) and many others.
Poland will face Colombia at the 43,000-seater Kazan Arena on June 24 after taking on Senegal in Moscow on June 19. They will finish their World Cup campaign with the match against Japan in Volgograd on June 28.
