Around 2,200 city volunteers assist football fans and tourists in Moscow on the days when World Cup matches are played in the city.
"More than 1,800 volunteers work every day, and 2,200 work on match days. The city volunteers meet tourists at railway terminals and in airports, help them find their way in the city, inform them about events and matches, walk fans to the stadiums... and, of course, create the festive atmosphere during the entire tournament," said the volunteer centre, Mosvolonter.
According to the press service, all the volunteers are provided with hot meals, free transportation and clothing suited to both hot and rainy weather.
"We create the most comfortable conditions for the volunteers to let them enjoy this feast of life in our capital and transmit their bright emotions to all the guests," Mosvolonter added.
