Up to 3,000 Swiss fans are expected to attend their national team's World Cup match against Sweden in St. Petersburg on Wednesday morning (AEST).
"This time we are expecting 2,000 or 3,000 Swiss fans, but of course the figures are not precise," said a Swiss embassy official.
He added that Swiss Vice President Ueli Maurer would attend the game.
