Volgograd Airport has said three planes with fans from Iceland will arrive in the southern Russian city of Volgograd today for the country's upcoming World Cup match against Nigeria.
"Three direct flights from Iceland will transport 578 fans to Volgograd. Nigerian fans are flying to our city using domestic flights from Moscow," the press service said.
The fans are traveling not only by planes but also by the railroad.
"Three additional trains will arrive in Volgograd from Moscow on Friday. They will transport around 1,200 fans to the game," said the Privolzhskaya railway authority.
Iceland held Argentina to 1-1 draw, while Nigeria lost to Croatia 2-0 in their first World Cup matches.
The two teams are set to go head-to-head at the Volgograd Arena on Friday.
