Brazil beat Mexico 2-0 and advanced to the quarter-finals, where they will meet the winner of the Belgium-Japan match.

Mexico head coach Juan Carlos Osorio said earlier on Monday that there were too many simulations and pauses in match against Brazil.

"I saw what happened. Everyone saw it, and my reaction as well. It's difficult to argue with the video. Both teams had plenty of chances [to step up], the Mexicans and us were good in counterattacks. I want to finish on the positive note, I respect Osorio, but sometimes emotions prevail and that's okay, it's football. But we made 21 shots. I asked my players to make Ochoa sweat, and they did well, so let the emotions stay in this room," Tite said.
