MOSCOW, June 1 (Sputnik) - Tunisia and Turkey played out a 2-2 draw in a heated pre-World Cup friendly in Geneva on Friday.
The opening goal came from a penalty scored by Turkey forward Cenk Tosun in the 54th minute. Tunisia equalized just two minutes later with a goal from Anice Badri. Minutes later, Turkey were reduced to 10 men after Tosun received a red card in the 59th minute.
In the 79th minute, Tunisia midfielder Ferjani Sassi put his side into the lead, but Turkey defender Caglar Soyuncu scored in stoppage time to earn his side a draw.
Russia will host its first-ever FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15. Tunisia will play against Belgium, Panama and England in Group G. Turkey failed to qualify for the World Cup.
