MOSCOW, July 13 (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend a gala concert at Moscow's Bolshoi Theater celebrating the closing of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on Friday.
"On Saturday night the president will attend the gala concert celebrating the closing of the World Cup," Ushakov told journalists.
According to the Kremlin press service, heads and members of international delegations, that came to Moscow to attend the World Cup final, FIFA President Gianni Infantino and a number of football greats were also invited to attend the concert.
Renowned opera singers, including Spanish tenor Placido Domingo and Russian operatic soprano Anna Netrebko, will perform at the concert.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will come to a close on Sunday, with France facing Croatia in the final, which will be played at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.
