NIZHNY NOVGOROD, July 5 (Sputnik) - Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani trained individually on Thursday ahead of his team's match against France in the quarter-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Cavani was injured during his side's 2-1 win over Portugal in the round of 16 on Saturday.
On Monday, the 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain player, who has scored three goals in four matches at the World Cup in Russia, underwent a medical examination and was diagnosed with muscle damage in his left calf.
Uruguay will take on France at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Friday.
