Former Netherlands legend Marco van Basten has come down hard on Neymar for his attitude during the World Cup.
The Brazilian star was named the man of the match after Brazil defeated Mexico 2-0 in the Round of 16 in Samara, but later came under fire for apparent simulations during the game - something that was a regular feature of his time in Russia.
“We have some humour in the game and he makes people laugh," said Van Basten.
"But I think that it’s not a good attitude in general, if you are acting too much I think everybody will understand that it will not help you. I think he should personally understand his situation."
Five-time champions Brazil crashed out of the World Cup in Russia after losing 2-1 to Belgium in the quarter-finals.
