Denmark could surprise Australia with "something interesting" in their upcoming Group C match, the Socceroos' head coach Bert van Marwijk said on Wednesday.
"The Danish team is very strong, they sit 12th in the FIFA rankings, that says it all. The Danish are physically prepared, very tall and that's important. France may have had a more creative approach to the game, but I think Denmark could also come up with something interesting against us. We need to get past the group stage and Denmark are a very tough opponent. But we believe in ourselves, we need to focus on the small details," van Marwijk told journalists.
After losing 2-1 to France in their first World Cup match, the Socceroos will take on Denmark in Samara on Thursday.
