The FIFA Fan Fest in Volgograd has been visited by more than 500,000 fans since the beginning of the tournament.
On Monday, a fan from the Russian city of Samara became the 500,000th person to visit the Fan Fest.
"The lucky one was invited to the stage of the FIFA Fan Fest in Volgograd, given a certificate and a toy of Zabivaka the Wolf, the official mascot of the 2018 FIFA World Cup," local officials said.
The 44,000-seater Volgograd Arena hosted four group-stage matches of the World Cup.
