"The waiting area was created to provide a comfortable stay at the airport for fans and to separate the rival teams. With a large crowd of people in the terminal, passengers will be able to wait for their flights and watch football matches in the area," the airport said in a statement.

According to the statement, the airport staff and volunteers will help fans check in on time, register their luggage and board the planes. The waiting area at Khrabrovo airport will be open for the entire duration of the World Cup in Russia.

Russia will host its first FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15 in 11 Russian cities, with the 35,000-seater Kaliningrad Stadium set to host four group-stage matches, including a game between England and Belgium on June 28.
