England finished second in Group G and will face Colombia in the round of 16 match on Tuesday, with Falcao set to lead the line for Los Cafeteros.

The Monaco striker spent two seasons on loan in England, first with Lingard at United, and then at Chelsea, between 2014 and 2016.

"He is a great finisher. In and around the box, he's lethal. We will be aware of that," Lingard said.

The 25-year-old, who has been capped for England 14 times, scoring two goals, added that his team would not change their playing style ahead of the clash.

"We don't need to change too much. No matter what round we are in we are going to play with no fear and play with that freedom. Why change?" he said.
