Russia's form at their home World Cup and the hospitality shown by local fans have changed the way foreigners see the country for the better, so reckons midfielder Aleksandr Samedov.
Russia have won three of their four World cup games so far and beat Spain on penalties to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since the end of the Soviet era.
"I think that not only the way we have been playing but also the hospitality of our fans has changed the foreigners' opinion of Russia. It is very beautiful here," Samedov said.
He added that hosting a World Cup could boost the development of football in Russia.
